An Adopted Woman’s Struggle for Identity by Fred Tomasello Jr Review #4 on Doris M Sippel’s replay/act 3 of her ‘memoir’!

It’s amazing how some people believe in their own self-importance!

An exchange on FB…

Fred Tomasello Jr. January 10 at 4:25pm ·

We just saw “Lion.” Doris Michol Sippel, this movie validates your book about the bond between adopted children and their parents so strongly I suspect you may have collaborated on the screenplay. Beautiful, sad, powerful and somewhat of a happy ending.

Doris Michol Sippel Thank you Fred Tomasello Jr.  I saw this movie on my birthday with my daughter. Yes, I think this is the best adoption movie I have ever seen. I wish I had collaborated on the screenplay! But no, I didn’t. yews, this movie validates what adoptees have been saying for decades.

Fred Tomasello Jr. Here is a link to the book and my review: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1…

Doris Michol Sippel Thank you Fred Tomasello Jr.!

Well isn’t that sweet! A mutual admiration! Does show us that Joan/Doris still fancies her ‘story’ worthy of a movie and has convinced others of same! So sad, that there are people that can NOT see the junk within the pages of this garbage book and see nothing wrong with exposing and exploiting two families!

Here now is number 4 on the hit parade!

A Case for Truth and Accuracy, January 11, 2017

By Fred Tomasello Jr.   This review is from: Forbidden Family: An Adopted Woman’s Struggle for Identity (Kindle Edition)

This book has been updated by the author, has a new cover and the author’s name is now accurate. For most of us, discovering one’s past is a lot of fun and is taken for granted but for an adopted child, this search presents a difficult challenge. The bond between a child and their biological parents is never broken and Doris Michol Sippel’s search for truth has not been easy.

If a birth certificate lists only the adoptive parents as mother and father, how does one find their biological parents and reunite with the rest of their family? Every case is different and Doris details how she found her truth.

“Nobody thought about it. We just wanted a child.” The “it” is adoption. These are the words Joan Wheeler’s adoptive mother told her years later and they equal the preconceived ideas millions of us have about adoption.

A phone call at age 18 started the “reunion” and carries the reader on an emotional roller-coaster lasting decades. The raw, descriptive language connects as secrets and family nuances are revealed, Every page is riveting and the candid details are gut-wrenching. Years of discovery, rejection, introspection, research, maturity and courage merge in Doris’s memoir to become a laser light focused on the importance of truth.

Doesn’t everyone want to know their father, mother, brothers and sisters? The desire to find family never goes away and attempts to do so are often met with accusations of ingratitude. While undergoing years of severe emotional stress, I am amazed that the author was able to write cogently about her families making a strong case for accuracy and truthfulness starting with the birth certificate and for staying in contact with one’s family. An exciting and riveting read, this book is well ahead of it’s time and deeply enhances my understanding of adoption.

My comment…Jan 12, 2017 gert mcqueen says:

If you want truth, it’s not here

Since I first saw this review the reviewer has edited the first draft of his review, fixing certain mistakes and recycling sentences from his original review of the second incarnation of this piece of garbage! Nothing much new can be said about the book now is there?

The author should have informed the buying public of her CHANGE of name before presenting a revision that LOOKS LIKE a NEW book. The author’s name WAS correct and accurate as an adoptee. Changing her name legally back to her birth name, is her right, but does NOT change accuracy but leads to confusion for she is NOT on any family tree of the birth family.

Most of this book, told now three times, is about OTHER people, based on biases of and misrepresentations by the author, for the sole purpose to promote a political agenda; reform of birth certificates. Birth and adopted parents and families should not have their ENTIRE lives exposed, exploited and misrepresented by someone who is discontented with the life they have.

This reviewer’s position, that this book is ‘a strong case for accuracy and truthfulness’ obviously shows that he hasn’t objectively used the art of ‘critical thinking’ while reading and/or comparing the opinions and words of others in their reviews, comments, discussions, not only in this book but the last two versions.

For the author and friends who seem to think that the tragedies that happened to two families will change the course of adoption reform and is riveting and exciting, is not only laughable but shows signs of delusions of grandeur and self-absorption. No one in the great wide world gives a hoot about what this author think or believes. Actually, the overwhelming majority of opinions on this author are quite negative. But hey, if you can’t deal with reality, then by all means, make things up to fit your fantasy; knock yourselves out.

“I am amazed that the author was able to write cogently about her families making a strong case for accuracy and truthfulness ”

Accuracy and truthfulness – the author makes a strong case for them — when it pertains to only her. Everybody else’s life is NOT worthy of accuracy and truthfulness.

However, I have posted on my blog, scans of actual police and court documents that prove that the author lies about me in this book. Copies of those documents were sent to Trafford Publications, which had published the first edition of the book – the documents clearly showed libel and Trafford pulled the book from publication. Those inaccuracies and UNtruthfulness (aka LIES) are still in later editions of this book.

The reviewer also writes “An exciting and riveting read, this book is well ahead of it’s time and deeply enhances my understanding of adoption.” — I would like to ask HOW — when almost 50% of the book is about ‘Brenda’ – (me) – every other page is Brenda this, and Brenda that. Is this a book about Joan/Doris’ adoption or is it about the life of Brenda? My marriages are discussed, my miscarriage is mocked (the author states it was good thing because I apparently spent more time on collecting horror movies than I would have paid attention to a child) – that is a judgement call on somebody else’s life, and has nothing to do with anybody’s adoption. Let’s see, what else – oh yes, Joan/Doris describes my belly dancing – again – MY life is all over this book – sorry, I was NOT adopted, therefore, WHY is MY life all over the pages? So yes, I object to this book, and my review is that it is NOT a book about adoption per se, but about an ‘adult’ adoptee’s anger over her adoption and lashing out her birthsiblings (me in particular) and anybody else who ever got on her bad side by disagreeing with her.

But yeah, hey – if Joan/Doris wants to get the word out about ME and make ME famous — HA! come visit me at my facebook under Ruth Herr Sippel Pace – and see my belly dancing pictures.

Posted on Jan 13, 2017 Ruth Pace says:

This book is nothing but the lunatic ravings of a person who is full of anger and hatred over her adoption.

This reviewer suggests that the book makes for a strong case for accuracy and truthfulness – But he fails to see a falsehood committed by the author. The reveiwer says the writer was able to write cogently about her families. Cogently means appealing forcibly to the mind or reason.
I would like that reviewer to apply that to the passage in which the author describes my father telling her (after the author was reunited with her birthfamily) of her mother’s death. The author describes my mothers body at the time of death – that the bandages holding all the rotted insides of her split and the cancer dripped out of her vagina. WHAT?

Any person with congitive awareness would see that as a bunch of nonsense.

Does anyone really believe that at the time of death, a patient’s bandages fall apart and the body’s cancer falls out onto the bed? And cancer drips out of the vagina? Somehow, I don’t think my father spread his newly dead wife’s legs apart to see that.

I have worked 43 years as a nurse’s aide in a major metropolitan hospital and have witnessed many deaths, even to the point of holding a patient’s hands while they died. (cancer patients too). AND I have performed post mortem care on their newly dead bodies. This is cleaning up the body and sending them to the hospital’s morgue. Now, yes, at the time of death muscles do relax, SOMETIMES the bladder and rectum releases substances, and yes, SOMETIMES there has been some drainage from a female’s perineum area.

But I point out again – MY FATHER WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN THAT. And at the time of her death, Joan/Doris was only 3 months old. really. come on.

AND bandages do not fall apart at the moment of death. In 43 years, I have never seen that. If a dressing over a patient’s wound had split open, it must have been a bolt of lightning. Did the author think the guaze bandages were split like the curtains in the temples when Jesus died on the cross? Or was there an alien come busting out of the body at the time of her death? Come on people – get real!

But this is how Joan/Doris honors the woman who gave her life – writing such nonsense.
Only a deranged person would write that nonsense and only an equally deranged person would think that passage constitutes maturity and courage (as he says about the author in the fourth paragraph in his ‘review’ of a garbage book written by a personal friend of his.
I apologize for the graphic content of this comment – but it needed to be brought out into the open exactly what garbage is in this “truthful’ book.

gert mcqueen says: Jan 13, 2017

WHY apologize? for the graphic content of YOUR comment, the author wrote it, published it and she wants everyone to KNOW her state of mind! This author writes for drama!!! that’s DRAMA!!! The entire book is written for and from the author’s mind of what might have happened, what the textbooks say can happen etc etc…the things she writes about me…NEVER happened, she USED me to present her anti-adoption position. This book is garbage!

Comment Posted on Jan 21, 2017 Ruth Pace says:

On January 11 2017, one of Joan/Doris’ friends, Fred Tomasello Jr, wrote a review, and then on January 14, 2017, another one of Joan/Doris’ friends, Michael Euler also published a review. Fred repeated his previous review of the version “Forbidden Family Duped by Adoption” but added a new paragraph in the beginning. He starts with this sentence: “This book has been updated by the author, has a new cover and the author’s name is now accurate.”
Michael Euler’s first sentance says just about the same thing: “The author of Forbidden Family: An Adopted Woman’s Struggle for Identity has recently changed her name from Joan Wheeler to Doris Michol Sippel reclaiming her birth name, bringing additional healing to the ongoing process she continues to experience. The new book cover and updating of the book is also part of the process of truth telling.”

I only wish to address these two sentences, both expressing the need for TRUTH and ACCURACY. I, also am for TRUTH AND ACCURACY, and that’s what I said in my review in September 2016 when I showed that Joan/Doris was playing the classic bait and switch with amazon customers? WHERE WAS THE TRUTH AND ACCURACY FOR POTENTIAL BOOK BUYERS?

Fred and Michael are championing for TRUTH and ACCURACY – but only when it comes to ADOPTEES. And that’s NOT the issue here. The issue is Joan/Doris did NOT make it clear to the buying public that “Forbidden Family: An Adopted Woman’s Struggle for Identity” is essentially the same book/product as the book/product called “Forbidden Family Duped by Adoption” — further, there was NO explanation that Doris Michol Sippel was formerly known as Joan Mary Wheeler.

Joan Mary Wheeler legally changing her name to her birth name of Doris Michol Sippel may reflect TRUTH AND ACCURACY for adoptees/adoption issues/adoption reform, but it is NOT TRUTH AND ACCURACY FOR THE BUYING PUBLIC. Fred and Michael need to learn more about consumerism, false advertising, bait and switch, and other scams. And while I have your attention, I have come to see that for many adoptees, TRUTH and ACCURACY applies ONLY to them – the rest of us can have lies told about us, and that’s just fine with them.

My Life as an Adoptee Duped by Adoption

By Fred Tomasello Jr. on June 19, 2015

Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase

“Nobody thought about it. We just wanted a child.” The “it” is adoption. These are the words Joan Wheeler’s adoptive mother related to her years later and they equal the preconceived ideas about adoption held by me and millions of others.

A phone call at age 18 starts the “reunion” and carries the reader on an emotional roller-coaster that continues for decades. The raw, descriptive language connects as secrets and family nuances are revealed. Every page is riveting and the candid details are gut wrenching. Long years of discovery, rejection, introspection, research, maturity and courage merge Joan’s memoir into a laser light focusing on the pure importance of truth.

While undergoing years of severe emotional stress, I am amazed that Ms. Wheeler was miraculously able to write cogently about her families. Her clarity and conclusions enhanced my understanding of adoption. As Joan’s natural father admitted years later, “But if I had education, none of this would have happened.”

End

Obviously, this ‘true’ (wink, wink, sneaker, sneaker, yeah right) book is NOT being read by anyone in the main stream, not even within the adoption reform communities! I keep saying…Joan/Doris is NOT WELCOMED.

Reviewer #5, an adoptee, pulls her review/support from Joan M Wheeler’s Amazon page on that lying book ‘duped by adoption!

How many others will ‘see the light’ and back away? Ideally ALL of them! For who wants to be near libelous material?

The book has been proven libelous in the past as I and sister Ruth have written. This current revision contains even more blatant lies, character assassinations and Joan’s own personal propaganda that her miserable life is due to adoption. This revision NO longer has ANY helpful information for reforming adoption, because Joan REMOVED 4 chapters once she was FOUND out, by an adoption reform organization, which she LIED about!

From Amazon we find…

Product info… Forbidden Family, my life as an adoptee duped by adoption. Publisher: Identity Press; 2nd edition (May 4, 2015) Publication Date: May 4, 2015

Now, I didn’t know about the book until June when I stumbled about it and purchased it June 14. As I was reading it, I noted many ‘new’ and disturbing items; in particular this…

“In June of 2014, a group of angry, disgruntled misfit adoptees banded together to form their own activist organization after the NY Legislature slapped a chokehold on the existing Adoptees’ Bill of Rights two days before the bill came up for a vote. In what should have been a vote to give adoptees permission to receive uncertified copies of their sealed birth certificate, NY adoptees roes up, called their legislators to kill the bill. The bill was indeed killed, resulting in yet another year of wasted effort by adoptee activists. Better this than to have a law that would give a small group of hysterical birthmothers, judges, and adoption agencies their way, to claim that ‘birth’ parents have the right to remain anonymous and to redact their names from the released birth certificate and to prevent adoptees from contacting them. The new adoptee lobby group, NY state Adoptee Equality, can be found on facebook and twitter at @NYAdoptEquality.”

At the time that Joan wrote that paragraph and included it in the revised book there was a power struggle going on between Joan and a leader of another Adoptee organization. As will be explained in the following link, I had made public that statement of Joan’s. Unfortunately, I had mistaken another for being Joan, but, Joan’s statement and where it came from, her book became publicly known. And so in July 2015, Joan REMOVED 4 full chapters that included that statement and more. By doing so, the book NO LONGER was a help for reforming adoption, but just a vehicle for Joan to rant against two families. Joan is NOT a reformist. Joan is an abolitionist. Joan’s own words of promotion for the book are LIES.

See this link for the full story   https://gertmcqueen.wordpress.com/2015/07/18/how-the-sneaky-dangerous-adoptee-joan-m-wheeler-duped-by-adoption-operates-be-it-on-public-platforms-behind-the-scenes-or-in-libelous-and-slanderous-ways/

NOW a year later, since the book made its appearance I find, on the afternoon of May 5, 2016, that Heather Kuhn’s review was gone from the Amazon page. Her review ‘was’ #5 in my sequence of blog posts.

So now ‘Duped by Adoption’, Joan M Wheeler’s Amazon page, shows 11 customer reviews

To show just WHERE Joan’s book stands in the ‘big picture’, here are the stats on that page as of May 7, 2016…hardly worth a glance and certainly nothing to gain popular and overwhelming sales!

#768 in Books > Biographies & Memoirs > Leaders & Notable People > Social Activists

#6790 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Biographies & Memoirs > Leaders & Notable People

#10383 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Biographies & Memoirs > Memoirs

One must ask the question…what caused Heather Kuhn to remove her review? Unless she tells us, we have no way of knowing! But I have a suspicion that perhaps…Heather does NOT want to be affiliated with a book that HAS BEEN PROVEN to be libelous.

Just days before Heather pulled her review; I posted a new blog post about just ONE discussion topic on Joan’s ‘author page’, about the previous edition being proven libelous. All discussion topics talk about the various documentations that were submitted to the previous publisher and how Joan broke her contact with them. People REALLY need to look at evidence and back away from a libelous book!

ALSO, as I have shown above because Joan removed four chapters that reflected the need for adoption reform and options and organizations, Heather’s and perhaps others’ reviews NO LONGER are accurate. When a customer reads reviews that say the book is about ‘adoption reform’ and then found out the author REMOVED four chapters and the book is actually just a huge whine of anger…that makes the ‘reviewer’ equally as out of touch with the contents and purpose of the book. Lies and misrepresentations do NOT make for sales!

Amazon, of course, does NOT allow me or my sister Ruth to write a review, because we, are subjects in the book.

To refresh memories…here’s Heather Kuhn’s review (Amazon did removed the link within the review)

The link to my blog post about this review and my response follows.

Thinking of Adoption? Read this book. Format: Kindle Edition “Duped by Adoption”
By Heather Kuhn on September 2, 2015

This is an excellent book written by Joan Wheeler, an adoptee rights activist, who talks about all of the intricacies of her experiences with adoption. She takes her readers on a journey of being adopted, being found, and riding the waves of roller coasters in her reunion with her family. She discusses some real big difficulties with her reunion, and discusses some of the history of her family that affects her relationships.

This is not a fairy tale of adoption. While this is Joan’s personal experience, many other books and articles discuss some of the factors leading families to choose adoptions. And, for those who’ve reunited, they’ve found strange coincidences, history of orphanages in their families, other adoptions, and some beautiful coincidences. Joan tells her story, all the good and bad.

This is not for the weak of heart. Joan also goes into depth about the fraudulent practices of adoption, by falsifying birth certificates. While some proclaim that adoption has changed, the reality is that it has, it has become much more manipulative and coercive. In 1994, a movie, Baby Brokers (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109187/ ) came out about international adoption. However, there are also many other stories of parents since then who were coerced, as late as this past year, of parents who were tricked into signing their rights away. But, that is just from the parents perspective. The collateral damage is done to the child of that coercion and fraud, those who have internal (and external) battles between two opposing identities, two, sometimes, opposing sets of parents.

Some people who were adopted decide that they can’t choose, that both sets are their parents. Others claim loyalty to those who changed their diapers so for so long, still others return back to their parents, such as in the recent case of Chelsea O’Donnell, who left Rosie’s home to return to her mother, Deanna, when she was 18. Some choose to abandon all family ties, starting new and fresh. No matter which they choose, the journey is not easy.

Joan paints a picture of just some of the trials that being adopted pose. I hope that you will read her book and go on her journey with her.  End

Current list of blog posts related to reviews about DUPED BY ADOPTION

As a member of the ‘birth family’, my life, my children’s lives, my entire family’s lives, along with the lives of the adopted parents family, mostly the MOTHER, have been maligned in this revisited (revised over and over again) by one, Joan M Wheeler, hater of adoption, her two families and ANYONE who is in the least bit pro-adoption.

None of us, which are WRITTEN about in this garbage book, were given prior knowledge that OUR lives would be written about, we had NO input into the contents of the bookS (plural books), we gave NO permission for our lives to be discussed, slandered and libeled, and fabricated like a soap opera!

And so…we do what we have been doing and must do…write blog posts exposing the dirty deeds of Joan M Wheeler.

At this time, 6 January 2016, there are 11 reviews, with several comments, and blog posts that I have written about each. The links to MY BLOG POSTS are in this post.

In addition I have currently four discussion topics on Amazon, related to various contents of the book (chapter and verse). More to come as time permits. I SHALL address everything in this book, one way or another. It is my life’s mission to address every lie that Joan has written about myself and my family! She didn’t learn the first time around…and so we go at it again! Until she STOPS.

So, after you take a look and read my blog posts, on these reviews, check out my ‘discussion’ topics for the book. And by all means CONTRIBUTE to the discussions. These discussions are about WHAT actually is in the book and WHAT it all means, on a professional analytical fashion. Any author’s words, and work, ought to hold up to critical thinking and analysis.

Review number five (5) of Joan M Wheeler’s garbage e-book, ‘Forbidden Family, my life as an adoptee, duped by adoption’; and my initial comment! #5 Heather Kuhn

Birds of a feather…yep there are no shortages of angry adoptees that believe just like Joan does.

Come one, come all, I’ll answer you! While I can ‘understand’ your anger and betrayal, that doesn’t give you a blank check to use and abuse me and my family. Doesn’t matter to me, how many adoptees see Joan’s ‘point of view’ there are many others, that don’t. They may not speak out publicly; one has here on Amazon. Even if they don’t, that doesn’t mean they are not out there and believe like I do, that this book is worse than garbage. Nope this book shall never be a best-seller, so knock yourselves out NOW, cause there will not be another chance.

Here’s the latest, from another angry adoptee…

BUT FIRST AN UPDATE MAY 7, 2016…this review has been pulled by the reviewer. see this link for further info

In 1994, a movie, Baby Brokers ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109187/ ) came out about international adoption.

End

And now my comment

Your initial post: Sep 6, 2015 12:01:32 PM PDT  a purchaser says: (Amazon calls me that)

If someone is THINKING OF ADOPTION?…this is NOT the book you want to read! Actually, the author is not an adoptee rights activist at all but an adoption abolitionist! She likes to ‘shock’ people by relating her self-torturing tormented mind-fugues in the hopes that THAT would make people STOP adopting. The author views adoption as a great evil that must be removed from the globe! The entire book is colored by her hatred of being adopted, a warped victim mentality wherein she has been singled out by social injustices that manifest into some major self-delusions.

Does this reviewer, Heather Kuhn, a personal friend and fellow angry adoptee, of the author, know that Joan has already updated and REMOVED 4 chapters in which all those ‘depth about the fraudulent practices of adoption’ is discussed? The author has a great need to constantly rewrite ‘her’ story, adding and subtracting; e-book format seems to be her ticket to accomplish that. No, this book will not help any form of adoption ‘reform’ for it is strictly the author’s way of holding two families hostage, exploiting them, like a political football so that the author can gain ‘fame and fortune’; both seem to elude the author. Talk about collateral damage!

This reviewer says, ‘Joan tells her story, all the good and bad’ but she forgot about the ‘ugly’.

Like this ugly…location 5561 ‘I became detached, aching for freedom, went from screaming rages to crying and sobbing spells, I was argumentative, irritable, very sad and angry. I’d have terrible temper tantrums in which I threw around toys, often breaking them, or ripping up paintings or drawings my children made…I was out of control lost in overwhelming sad grief. Thoughts of death and suicide cycled through me for years, have anxiety attacks’

Or this ugly…location 6577 ‘I’m writing this book to expose all the hate and to put an end to it.’

Or this ugly…location 6709 ‘She (adoptive mother) yelled, we did all the work, your father and I, (referring to adoptive father), paid for the upkeep of his child. Did he ever think of that? He gave you up for adoption because he could not afford to take care of you. We took care of you. Now the tables are turned. In my advanced age, living on a fixed income, I look back and see that he had the benefit of a working wife for thirty-some years! I had to quit my job to stay home with you, his child.’

Or this ugly…location 7326 ‘I can’t ‘just get over it’. This was a witch-hunt. I am a victim of persecution because I am adopted. I demand restitution for my life as a legitimately-born half orphan duped by adoption’

So please bring along a barf bag if you ever do read this garbage for it will turn your stomach! For unless you enjoy reading about physical and mental illnesses, constant yelling, screaming, fault finding and whining, this book is NOT for you. There is NOTHING in this book that is remotely related to Rosie O’Donnell, Baby Brokers, or any other ‘hot-topic’ issue within the adoptee’s rights movement for open adoption records! It’s all about an angry adoptee who has no respect for her two families, birth and adopted…that’s collateral damage!  end

NOW after my last blog post of reviewer #3 was posted on this blog, that night my comment, above, was REMOVED from the Amazon site! Coincidence? maybe maybe not. So, I re-posted my comment removing the sentence where I mention Heather is a personal friend of the author.  Your initial post: Sep 10, 2015 4:30:26 AM PDT

I had also noted that Heather’s review was ‘adjusted’; the link to the movie she quote was gone. So that adjustment was done by Amazon who also must have removed my comment because I said the reviewer was a personal friend of the author. In both situations, we must have violated some guideline rules. Hopefully my comment will now pass the rules.

NOW, what I could NOT say on Amazon:

Crazies are as crazies do! There’s no storage of idiots in the world, no matter what the topic is, there are those that just will NOT accept the way the rest of the world is going. Generally speaking I don’t give a rat’s ass about certain topics, issues or pop-culture concerns. I’m also aware that ‘change’ happens over a long period of time, regardless of what the ‘majority’ thinks and feels. But, when it comes to me and my family I MUST take a stand against lies, abuse, hypocrites and using my family as a political football!

I also take note of the fact that, at the moment, there is ONE reviewer, who speaks the truth of this book, all is not lost! Current count then is 5 reviews; one that sees and tells of the bullshit of the book and four that tell it from the leader of their pack! Adoptees don’t rule, in the long run!

Speaking of this particular ‘review’, it shows me that desperation is beginning to set in, in Joan’s camp! It’s also obvious that her ‘friends’ have not purchased nor read the freaking book! I’d really be surprised to know if they spend their MONEY on the thing, but then again, why should they! These idiots all think alike and therefore they don’t have to purchase or read another’s book; it’s a given that it’s true, an adoptee speaks and it’s true! This is the same thing that happened when Joan’s first book was published…massive angry adoptees running to Joan’s support ATTACKING the birth siblings!

Today, we also have Twitter! Much can be done there! It does amaze me how adoptees are so insular, regardless of where they are religiously and politically. They are, at the core, hypocrites. Conservatives or Christians once an adoptee is attacked they forego their high-bound standards and revert back to bigotry and hypocrisies!

And today, versus 5 years ago, we, the birth siblings, have other avenues, such as AMAZON and blogs, long standing ones and a NEW one plus a Facebook page! In addition, Joan’s reputation has ‘suffered’ because many mainstream adoptees and adoptee-reformists have been distancing themselves from her. I have found over the years that the best defense against Joan is the use of her OWN WORDS. Once her words are put out there they speak for themselves.

So I am confident that the truth of the matter shall prevail. here are the other current reviews
